Hebrews 11 – Faith Defined and Exemplified & Roman Catholic Eucharist and Sun Worship

Finger Pointing Up4 13There can be no question that the authors of the below site stands up for Jesus, but the statement above it can back fire on a new believer because the devil is very tricky.

The devil’s main tool to trip us up on is our feelings/emotions.  I can only think of one reason why the authors of the below article said what they said.

They don’t want the Catholic’s or others to get upset with them, i.e., they care what people think of them and their site.  Yet, I believe they are sincere and they are hoping to convert the non-believer.

I’m not quite like that, I do wish you all well and truly do hope everyone goes to heaven (we know that isn’t going to happen).

The welfare of others is not a top priority to me, like it is to a pastor.  I’m not posting this blog looking for friends.  God asked me to create this blog so that is what I’m doing.  God is not forcing me to do this blog, but there is no way I would refuse doing anything that He would ask me to do.

Where you choose to spend eternity will not effect me in anyway, especially since we won’t even remember this world once God destroys it (Is 65:17).

2 10Anyway, the below statement is an oxymoron.  That would be like a judge saying,

“Sir, you have been convicted of the charges of rape and murder, but I don’t hate you, I just hate what you did, so I’m going to put you on probation for five years.  I hope you’ve learned your lesson.”

That would be like sleeping with the enemy.  Those that are involved in the New Age Movement sleep with the enemy.

The New Age worships Jesus, sort of.  They worship Him and they even acknowledge His virgin birth, the crucifixion and the resurrection.

And then they throw you a rotted bone because the New Age is built around Self, not around Jesus Christ.

It teaches, as Oprah for example promotes, that we don’t need Jesus to have a better life on earth, or to get to heaven.

But Jesus said:

“…I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (Jn 14:6).

If you are a devout Catholic, i.e., believe what they teach.  For example, have a Rosary, then you are going to hell.

If you abide by the words of the Holy Bible, not the Catholic Bible, but attend a Catholic Church then you are okay, doing that will not put you in hell.

Yet, if you’re not a devout Catholic, then why go to their church all you are doing is playing with fire and Peter tells us to trust in Jesus only and do not mess around with the devil.

“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for  you.3 10

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour” (1 Pet 5:7-8).

Jesus’s top enemy, aside from the devil of course, is not the atheist, but those that preach anything that is not in the Bible.

“For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book” (Rev 22:18-19).

5 11The Catholics, the Mormons, the Muslims, the New Agers, etc. will pay a heavier price when they go to hell.

“The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.

And that servant, which knew his lord’s will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.

But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more” (Lk 12:46-48).

The book of Hebrews is all about faith, as you will see in the following chapter.  The first and sixth verse state exactly what faith in Jesus is.

Anyone whose life does not fit within those to verses do not have faith, such as those mentioned above, most wealthy people and atheist.

Staying in this category and the present, tomorrow we’ll take a quick look at…

Hebrews 11
Faith Defined and Exemplified

6 81 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

11:1-12:29 – exhortations based on the preceding expositions of Old Testament passages.

2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.

“Elders” – heroes of faith in the pre-Christian ear, such as those listed in this chapter.

3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.

Gen 4:2-5.

5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

Gen 5:18-24.

6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

“Believe that he is” – faith must have an object, and the proper object of genuine faith is God.

Many people’s names would be listed in verse 1, but if without verse 6 it doesn’t matter.  For example, you win a free plane ticket (v. 1) to go anywhere in the world, but it’s no good if you can’t get to the airport (v. 6).

7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

Gen 5:28—9:29.

7 9“Righteousness which is by faith” – Noah expressed complete trust in God and His word, even when it related to “things not seen” (v. 1), namely, the coming flood.  Thus Noah also fitted the description of God’s righteousness ones who live by faith (10:38).

His faith in God’s word moved him to built the ark in a dry, landlocked region where it was inconceivable that there would ever be enough water to float the vessel.

Not only did Noah not live by any water, but up to this time it had never rained.  God watered everything by a mist (Gen 2:5-6).  Noah doing what God asked him to do, no matter how ridiculous it sounded to him, satisfies v. 6.

8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.

Gen 12: 1, 4.

“Not knowing whither he went” – Abraham didn’t go in blind faith, but in complete confidence in God’s trustworthiness.

Absolute obedience satisfies v. 6.9 7

9 By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:

10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.

11 Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.

Gen 18:11-12.

12 Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable.

“As good as dead” – because he was 100 years old.

13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

“Having seen them afar off” – by faith they saw – dimly – these heavenly realities and were sure that what they hoped for would ultimately be theirs (see v. 1).

“Strangers and pilgrims on the earth” – their true home was in heaven.

14 For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.

The better, heavenly country (v. 16).

10 415 And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.

16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.

“Prepared for them a city” – city (v. 10) and country are interchangeable on the concluding chapters of this letter (vv. 9-10, 14-16).  The ultimate reality is represented by the new Jerusalem in John’s vision of the believer’s eternal state (Rev 21:2).

17 By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son,

Gen 22:2, 12, 16.

18 Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called:

19 Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure.

“God was able to raise…the dead” – so strong was Abraham’s faith that he actually believed that God would rise Isaac from the dad after he sacrificed him.

20 By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come.

Gen 27:27-40.

21 By faith Jacob, when he was a dying, blessed both the sons of Joseph; and worshipped, leaning upon the top of his staff.

Gen 47:29-31, 48:8-20.11 3

22 By faith Joseph, when he died, made mention of the departing of the children of Israel; and gave commandment concerning his bones.

Gen 50:24-25.  Jacob (v. 21) and Joseph are additional examples of those whose faith is no less strong at death than in life (v. 13).

23 By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents, because they saw he was a proper child; and they were not afraid of the king’s commandment.

See Acts 7:20-44.

24 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter;

25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;

“Pleasures of sin” – the luxury and prestige in Egypt’s royal palace.

12 426 Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompense of the reward.

“Of Christ” – although Moses’ understanding of the details of the Messianic hope was extremely limited, he chose to be associated with the people through whom that hoe was to be realized.

“Treasures of Egypt” – the priceless treasures of King Tutankhamun’s tomb alone included several thousand pounds of pure gold.

27 By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.

“Not fearing the wrath of the king” – Exodus indicates that Moses was afraid (Ex 2:14) but does not expressly say of whom.  And it tells us that he fled from Pharaoh when Pharaoh tried to kill him (Ex 2:15) but does not expressly say that he fled out of fear.

The author of  Hebrews capitalizes on these features of the account to highlight the fact that, in his fleeing from Pharaoh, Moses was sustained by his trust in God that the liberation of Israel would come and that he would have some part in it.

“He endured” – for 40 years in Midian (Acts 7:30).

28 Through faith he kept the passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest he that destroyed the firstborn should touch them.

Ex 12.

29 By faith they passed through the Red sea as by dry land: which the Egyptians assaying to do were drowned.

Ex 14-15.

30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days.13 3

Josh 6.

31 By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace.

“The harlot Rahab” – a designation describing her way of life prior to her newly found faith (Josh 2:8-11; 6:22-25); also a testimony to God’s boundless grace that can reach down and redeem and raise any sinner to eternal dignity.

32 And what shall I more say? For the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets:

“Gedeon, Barak, Samson, Jephthae” – Jud 4:6-5:15; 6:11-8:35, 11:1-12:7, 13:24-16:31; 1 Sam 12:11, where Gideon is called Jerubbaal.

“Samuel, and of the prophets: – see Ps 99:6; Jer 15:1; Acts 3:24, 13:20.

33 Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,

“Mouths of lions” – cf. Daniel in the lions’ den (Dan 6).

34 Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.

“Quenched the violence of fire” – cf. Daniel’s friends, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, in the fiery furnace (Dan 3).

“Weakness were made strong’ – through faith in God’s help (see Rom 8:26; 2 Cor 12:9).

14 235 Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection:

The widow of Zarenphath (1 Kgs 17:17-24) and the Shunammite woman (2 Kgs 4:8-36).

“Were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection” – this pertains to then and even today.

11:35-37 – Read Foxes Book of Martyrs by John Foxe.

36 And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment:

37 They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented;

“They were stoned” – men like Zechariah, the sons of Jehoiada the priest, who were put to death for declaring the truth (2 Chr 24:20-22; Lk 11:51).

38 (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.

39 And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:

“All, having obtained a good report through faith” – not all the heroes of faith experienced immediate triumph over their circumstances, but all were blessed by God.

40 God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.

15 Some people may enjoy
Some people may enjoy attending Mass but do not practice the Catholic faith.
The Catholic Church prohibits non-Catholics from participating in Communion.

They say that when one is not Catholic it feels like a violation of the sacred nature of the sacrament to most practicing Catholics.

ALL religions, especially the Catholic, is a government.

Jesus Christ is not a religion, but God.

“God having provided some better thing” – the fulfillment for them, as for us, is in Christ who is “the resurrection and the life” (Jn 1:25-26).

“That they without us should not be made perfect” – all person of faith who had gone before focused their faith on God and His promises.

The fulfillment of God’s promises to them has now come in Jesus Christ, and their redemption too is now complete in Him.

Roman Catholic Eucharist
and Sun Worship

The Roman Catholic Church adores the Eucharist wafer, saying that it transforms (by command of the priest) into the literal body of Christ Jesus.

This alone is an abomination, but the Catholic Church are pushing for the world to adore the Eucharist too, saying that we cannot truly worship without the Eucharist.

But what many sincere people don’t realize is that the Eucharist wafer which the Roman Catholic enshrines within the “monstrance” is nothing more than a symbol of sun worship which the Papal Church adopted along with many other pagan rituals and traditions.

“Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:

Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me” (Ex 20:4-5).

Take a look at the following pictures which depict quite clearly a form of sun worship.

16 The sun god

The sun god and the high priest of pagan Egypt. Not so different from other priests sitting on thrones. Notice the circle above his head. This is the sun god.

17 Roman Catholic Pope

Roman Catholic Pope sitting on the Papal throne at the Vatican. Notice the great sun emblem above the throne.

18 Pope John Paul II

Pope John Paul II holding above his head the Catholic monstrance which contains the Eucharist that is worshiped. Notice the sun rays in the monstrance.

19 Pope Francis

Pope Francis holding above his head the Catholic monstrance which contains the Eucharist that is worshiped.

20 A picture of early sun

A picture of early sun worship in Egypt.

21 And a picture of Roman Catholic

And a picture of Roman Catholic sun worship containing the Eucharist. Notice the same image of the sun as the above Egyptian sun worship?

22 An ancient symbol

An ancient symbol of the sun god worshipers in Assyria. Notice the crescent moon holding the sun god.

23 The Roman Catholic

The Roman Catholic monstrance with the Eucharist. Notice the crescent moon that holds the Eucharist.

24 An artifact

An artifact unearthed from a Pagan temple in Hazor, Israel. Notice the wheel of Baal on the right.

25 The Baal symbol

The Baal symbol is also used in the Roman Catholic Church as you can see with this Eucharist.

26 Notice the symbol

Notice the symbol of Baal in the center of the pope’s hat.

27 The symbol of Baal

The symbol of Baal all over pope Benedict.

28 A picture of the Greek sun god

29 And here we

And here we find the sun god on the altar at the Vatican.

30 A statue of a woman

A statue of a woman dearly holdin onto a sun god at the Vatican. These sun god images are all over the Vatican.

31 A statue of Semiramis

A statue of Semiramis and her child Nimrod/Tammuz. Pagan mother and child worship. With the Halo as the sun god.

32 Of course the Roman

Of course the Roman Catholic Church adopted this mother child worship also, in the form of Mary and Jesus. Notice the halo sun and the Baal symbol behind the head of baby Jesus.

33 Another image

Another image of Pagan sun worship. The Pagan priest makes an offering to the sun god.

34 Roman Catholic Mass

Roman Catholic Mass. The priest making an offering like the Pagan priest.

35 More Catholic priests

More Catholic priests offering incense to the Eucharist contained within the blazing sun.

36 Another Roman Catholic

Another Roman Catholic priest offering incense to their Eucharist sun god.

37 Hail the Roman Catholic

Hail the Roman Catholic god.

38 Notice how large the statue

Notice how large the statue of the Pope is, with little Jesus to the side.

39 These are just a few images

These are just a few images showing clear pagan sun worship incorporated into the worship of the Roman Catholic Church. This church is full of pagan rituals and traditions.

This is a good site exposing the wickedness of the Catholic church, but I want to point something they have on their site that I did not include in the above article:

Please note we do not do this out of hate for the people of the Catholic Church. But out of hate for the abominations that are committed. We are merely exposing the error.

…meet a few rich atheists.40
