1 Peter 3 – The Husband and the Wife & The New Age Movement Explained

Finger Pointing Up

1 Antichrist
Antichrist, and the age of Aquarius.
People are under the impression that it means a future of free love, and humanitarianism. But if we look at astro-theology and astrology I really think it really means something else.

The man holding the cherub. Which represents the fixed sign Aquarius, and the gospel of Matthew on this church, and I believe this man is the symbol of the anticrhist.(circled in the picture) or age of Aquarius.

In the Age of Aquarius, you can expect to see a restrictive (Saturn) technocracy (Uranus) in my opinion.

If you read any of the science magazines and tech magazines you will see why I believe this. The technologies that are currently out there like drones, high power satellites , human cloning, 3D printers, droids, and bots etc point to this.

What’s going to happen is what God has already planned, it has nothing to do with the planets or anything else.

Since the New Age Movement had been created by Ancient Man (B.C.) it has many different aspects, new avenues, but the below information is the basics.

In Philippians 3 I had talked about the Astrological Ages, primary the Age of Pisces and the Age of Aquarius because some say that we are in the Age of Pisces and have been since the birth of Christ.

Others say we are in the Age of Aquarius and others say that we are in the Age of Pisces and are moving into the Age of Aquarius.

Nobody knows for certain what Astrological Age we are in, not that it matters because it’s not real.  Yet, with all these psychics you would think they would all know, wouldn’t you?

I’m glad that I’m with Jesus because Satan doesn’t know if he’s coming or going, can’t even get his stupid cronies in order, but he does know he’s going to hell forever.

So tomorrow we are going to look at…

1 Peter 3
The Husband and the Wife

1 Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;

“Likewise, ye wives” – as believers are to submit to governments and as slaves are to submit to masters.

“Be in subjection” – a Greek term that calls for submission to a recognized authority.  In ferocity is not implied by this passage.  The submission is one of role or function necessary for the orderly operation of the home.

2 The Higher Consciousness
The Higher Consciousness Society (HCS) is a non-profit spiritual education organization.
Our mission is to enlighten and empower Souls on their journey to higher consciousness, to provide instruction to those seeking to personally explore the inner worlds of GOD, to share the power and omnipresence of divine love that resides within each person, to provide a bridge for seekers of all spiritual persuasions to an understanding of their own divinity, and to empower them with a new spiritual paradigm.

This is how the New Age takes people away from Jesus. It includes God and moves His divinity to self.

“Without word” – believing wives are not to rely on argumentation to win their unbelieving husbands, but on the quality of their lives.  “Action speak louder than words.”

2 While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear.

“Chaste conversation coupled with fear” – their lives are to be marked by a moral purity that springs from reverence toward God.

3 Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;

“Hair…gold” – extreme coiffures and gaudy exhibits of jewelry.  Christian women should not rely on such extremes of adornment of beauty.

4 But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.

5 For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands:

6 Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement.

“Whose daughters…not afraid” – Christian women become daughters of Sarah as they become like her in doing good and in not fearing any potential disaster, but trusting in God.

7 Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honor unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.

3 Ancient Egyptian
Ancient Egyptian religion was a complex system of polytheistic beliefs and rituals which were an integral part of ancient Egyptian society.

It centered on the Egyptians’ interaction with many deities who were believed to be present in, and in control of, the forces and elements of nature.

The practices of Egyptian religion were efforts to provide for the gods and gain their favor.

Formal religious practice centered on the pharaoh, the king of Egypt.

Although a human, the Pharaoh was believed to be descended from the gods.

He acted as the intermediary between his people and the gods, and was obligated to sustain the gods through rituals and offerings so that they could maintain order in the universe.

The state dedicated enormous resources to Egyptian rituals and to the construction of the temples.

“Weaker vessel” – not a reference to moral stamina, strength of character or mental capacity, but most likely to sheer physical strength.

8 Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:

3:8-12 – in 2:11-17 Peter addressed all his readers, and in 2:18-25 he spoke directly to slaves; in 3:1-6 he addressed wives, and in 3:7 husbands.  Now he encourages all his readers to develop virtues appropriate in their relations which others.

9 Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.

10 For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:

3:10-12 – Peter introduces this quotation from Ps 34 with the explanatory conjunction “For,” showing that he views the quotation as giving reasons for obeying the exhortation of v. 9.

According to the Psalmist,

(1) the one who does such things will find life to be most gratifying (v. 10),
(2) his days will be good (v. 10),
(3) God’s eyes will ever be on him to bless him (v. 12), and
(4) God’s ears will be ready to hear his prayer (v. 12).

11 Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.

12 For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.

13 And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good?

4 1914 But and if ye suffer for righteousness’ sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled;

15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

“Give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason” – this is an act that most politicians and false teachers, such as Obama and Rick Warren cannot do.

Yet, if a person cannot give an answer it does not always mean they are not Christians, it just means that they are weak Christians, i.e., they fear man more than God, or they lack knowledge of God.

16 Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.

“They may be ashamed” – because their slander is shown to be obviously untrue and because the believer’s loving attitude puts the opponent’s bitterness in a bad light.

They should be ashamed, but not because you spoke the truth, but because they spoke against.  And no matter how much they speak against you, continue to stand up for Jesus Christ.

517 For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.

18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

“Quickened by the Spirit” – “Spirit” is capitalized here to indicate that Christ was raised up by the Holy Spirit, through which at an early time, He “went and preached unto the spirits” which are now in prison.

19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;

20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

6 1321 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:

“The like figure whereunto even baptism” – there is a double figure here.  The Noah’s flood symbolizes baptism, and baptism symbolizes salvation in that it depicts Christ’s death, burial and resurrection and our identification with Him.

Baptism is your way of honoring Jesus Christ, showing the world that He is number one in your life.  Baptism is not needed to be saved nor can it save you.

For example, let’s say you buy an airplane ticket to visit Rome.  It symbolizes that you have a seat on that flight, but if you don’t get on the plane you can’t say you visited Rome.

22 Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.

The New Age Movement Explained

New Age Lies

Definition

7 The New Age Movement
The New Age Movement (NAM) is both a religious and a social movement.
In fact, Western culture is currently experiencing a phenomenal, spiritual, ideological, and sociological shift.

It is a religious world view that is alien and hostile to Christianity.

It’s a multi-focused, multi-faceted synthesis, in varying degrees, of the Far Eastern, mystical religions, mainly Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism, and Western Occultism, adapted to and influenced by Western, materialistic culture.

It sometimes appears in secularized forms.

The New Age Movement consists of an incredibly huge and well organized network consisting of thousands of groups, trusts, foundations, clubs, lodges, and religious groups whose goal and purpose is to prepare the world to enter the coming “Age Of Aquarius.”

The New Age is about One World Order.

The “New Age” Movement (NAM), sometimes also referred to as the “Human Potential Movement.”

A loosely connected network of people, groups, activities and practices which, according to its adherents, purportedly foster and produce a vast array of beneficial results:

* Spiritual and personal growth,
* Financial success,
* Improvement in relationships,
* Physical and psychological healing,
* Individual and global peace,
* Stabilization of the environment, and
* Other controlling factors.

Background

The NAM of America was born during the rebellious 1960’s when all traditional institutions and values, especially in relation to the Church and the family were under attack.

The forerunner and vanguard of the New Age was the “Peace Movement” of the 1960’s which condemned traditional morality.

The NAM also drew from Radical Environmentalism, Radical Feminism and Feminist spirituality of the 1970’s while it gained popularity around the world.

Today the NAM has been able to successfully infiltrate almost every major institution, both religious and secular.

Appearance of Good/Reality of Evil

The NAM, on the surface, appears to be a good thing. It promises global peace, health, personal and spiritual growth, and environmental stability.

However, the methods it promotes to achieve these goals are cleverly hidden beneath this benevolent surface appearance.

A closer scrutiny reveals a dark, sinister methodology for drawing people away from Jesus Christ and towards individualism, and the religious practices of pagans, belief in reincarnation, and the power of the “Self”.

Nevertheless, the NAM, on the surface, does not deny the existence of Jesus Christ – to do so would scare off most Christians in an instant. Instead, clever syntax is applied, while traditional aspects of our faith are redefined.

8 The 60s Peace
The 60s Peace Movement & the Slump
Battle of Hippy Culture, Civil Rights & Communist Hatred

The 1960s saw the growth of the peace movement which was anti-war and about people getting along, very much a ‘You & Me‘ mentality.

Woodstock is seen by many as the icon of the peace movement, is it a coincidence it took place in 1969 after an overall multi-decade up-trend in stocks which was topping?

For example, Oprah speaks highly of her Christian faith, but Jesus Christ is not the primary topic, self-help is even though Jesus says,

“I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing” (Jn 15:1, 5).

Each of the above listed “benefits” of the New Age Movement is a proposition to hook people into their evil plot.

The members of NAM that prosper with said benefits are succeeding through a different vine, the devil, and their benefits are only temporary.

Jesus Christ becomes less than what He is, God, and instead is relegated to becoming one of a number of “Spiritual  Guides” or “Ascended Masters” who were mere humans who “evolved” into higher beings after discovering and using “ancient wisdom.”

Indeed, the NAM promises that any individual can attain this status through “Self Realization” or “Higher Consciousness” of the fact of one’s own “Higher Self”, “God-Self”, or “Divinity”.

Essentially, each individual can become God.

The Bible does not say we will become gods, but the New Age twists scriptures to fit into the idea, the Mormon Bible teaches the same (we’ll look into that during the Book of 1 John), as do other false organizations.

9 Similarly the African
Similarly the African-American Civil Rights Movement took place during the boom which resulted in the Civil Rights Act of 1968, a culmination of progress for equality throughout the boom period.

In the 1970s, a period of economic uncertainty, the peace movement faded away along with the African American Civil Rights Movement.

I have read quite a bit about Martin Luther King Jr., but not all, and it seems that he wasn’t fighting for New World Order, but he also was not about equality, or God.

It appears to me that his goal was for the black race to take over the white race.

One of the pet phrases in scripture that world religions use to support the various doctrines claiming that humans can become divine is “you are gods”.

This is found several places in scripture.  However, this can and often is twisted into unbiblical meanings and used to confuse those who value the Bible as authoritative.

This is used to persuade people that the Bible supports their “you are god” theory.

“And LORD said to Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet” (Ex 7:1).

Pharaoh was the highest god in ancient Egypt’s pagan religious world. They had gods for everything. Some gods had higher powers than others.

The Egyptians believed that it was necessary to appease all the gods so that their wives could be fertile, their crops would yield harvest, the rains would come in season, and so on.

Therefore, what God was saying is that I will make you more powerful than the Pharaoh’s false gods, which He did when Moses performed the 10 plagues upon the Egyptian land (Ex. 7:19-11:5).

There are other scriptures that can be twisted, to make people believe they could become gods and the sad humor of it all is that people actually believe that people can become gods within themselves, even though Jesus made it quite clear that it is not possible:

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him” (Jn 13:16).

10 Radical environmentalism
Radical environmentalism, is a grassroots branch of the larger environmental movement that emerged from an ecocentrism-based frustration with the co-option of mainstream environmentalism.
It is the ideology behind the radical environmental movement.

The worldviews, activities, and agendas of radical environmentalism, a movement whose goal is not the advancement of human health, human happiness, and human life, but rather the creation of a world where “nature” is deemed to have “intrinsic value” that ought to be revered for its own sake, irrespective of any benefit to mankind.

Radical environmentalists espouse “deep ecology,” which asserts that the environment is an end in itself and that man is an intruder – if not a rapist and despoiler – who should have no greater priority than any other species.

From this axiom, they reason that any human action that changes the environment is necessarily immoral.

God is our Creator, even the New Age Movement agrees with that, so we cannot be gods.  Of course, Ancient Man had believed in many gods and some were more powerful than others.

But in all actuality, there is one God and there will be no other.  And God Himself told Isaiah that:

“For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens, God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else” (Is 45:5).

No person will ever become a god, but the Christian becomes more than just a man, we are the “sons of God” and that is more than we need or deserve.

“Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is” (1 Jn 3:2).

Of course, people don’t have to be in a foolish cult to think they are god, a good example of that is our wonderful president, and many other politicians and movie stars.

Forbidden Fruit

The NAM is riddled with occult and other forbidden practices which make up the:

* Ancient wisdom, including
* Mediumship,
* Channeling,
* Divination,
* Astrology,
* Consulting
spirits of the dead,
* Tarot cards,
* Crystals,
* Palm reading,
* Ouija boards,
* Psychic powers,
* Yoga,
* Transcendental meditation,
* Rose poetry,
* Past-life regression, etc.

11 According to Shanzeh
According to Shanzeh Khurram
Man-hater. Fanatic. Extremist. These are the terms I usually hear when I tell people that I’m a radical feminist.

It’s as if being a feminist has become synonymous with being someone who hates men and wants to establish matriarchy.

Most people don’t understand what feminism stands for, and they don’t realize how important it is.

Feminism is about gaining equal rights and opportunities for women, and allowing women to have control over their lives and bodies.

At a time when women are sexualized and objectified in so many cultures, feminism is also about empowering women and young girls.

While there are many different branches of feminism, the main aim of most of these strands is equality.

For example, Marxist feminists, postmodern feminists, and liberal feminists may differ in their approach and domain, but their ultimate goals are freedom and equality for women.

Feminists can be sex positive or anti-pornography.

Feminists can be straight, bisexual, pansexual, asexual or gay.

Feminists can also be men, since any person- male or female- who wants equal opportunities for both sexes is a feminist.

Some feminists are tomboys, while others love to dress up and are ultra-feminine.

There is no one stereotype that all feminists fit into.

I stand up for women to be treated equally, but homosexuality is against God (Rom 1:1-32).

God spoke to Moses about such practices:

“Let there not be found among you anyone who immolates his son or daughter in the fire, nor fortune teller, soothsayer, charmer, diviner, or caster of spells, nor one who consults ghosts and spirits or seeks oracles from the dead. Anyone who does such

things is an abomination to the Lord” (Deut 18:10-12).

As I said, Oprah and other New Agers say they are Christians, but then they disobey God.  You are with God or you aren’t.  It’s like being pregnant, you can’t be sort of pregnant, you are or you aren’t.

Also, Jesus doesn’t allow anyone to be on the sideline, like the atheists think they are.  You are with Him or you are against Him.

“He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad” (Matt 12:30).

Aside from God writing it in the Ten Commandments (Ex 20:4), He flat out told Moses,

“Do not turn aside to idols, nor make molten gods for yourselves. I, the Lord, am your God” (Lev 19:4).

I guess the Catholics missed that part.

Paul’s warning was good then and it certainly is today:

“The Spirit says clearly that some men will abandon their faith in later times. They will obey lying spirits and follow the teaching of demons” (1 Tim 4:1).

These lying spirits, I don’t believe they are aliens, but fallen angels, the devil’s boyfriends.  Yet, we can see in the Bible that angels can take the form of people.

Therefore, we must assume that not all speakers are actually people, but what is known as “shape shifters,” and we will talk about them and similar mythologies also in the 1 Book of John.

I’m not sure if, according to English grammar, if shape shifter should be capitalized or not, but it doesn’t matter because to me they don’t deserve to be capitalized.

When I speak of Satan I capitalize it only because it’s a proper noun, and I am not capitalizing him, just the name.

I never capitalize the word devil, unless it’s the first word of the sentence, because to me capitalizing a title means that they deserve it and you respect them.

Can you think of any possible shape shifters?  I certainly can.

Despite the clear implications of such practices, an increasing number of people are abandoning their true faith to follow some or many aspects of the NAM.

People today are replacing God with evil spirits and pagan gods, just as the ancient Israelites and Egyptians did during the time of Moses.

The seductions are subtle, but at its core is Satan himself. He is promising, just as he did in the Garden of Eden, that the forbidden fruit will make us gods.

“No Sin, No Hell”

12 Ancient Wisdom
Ancient Wisdom for Modern Problems Ouroboros: Eternal Symbol of Endings and Beginnings
The symbol of a snake curved in a circle and eating its own tail is goes back to Ancient Egypt, appears in old Alchemy drawings and can be found today on album covers and tattoos.

Secret societies have also used this symbol throughout the centuries.

In the simplest of terms, the Ouroboros symbolizes the eternal cycle of life. In many traditions, the circle represents wholeness, or One-ness, because a circle has no beginning or end.

(This is part of the symbolism behind the wedding band, but that’s another topic for another day).

The Ouroboros snake appears to have a beginning (head) and an ending (tail), but since these are joined together, it points to the fact that the two are actually one in the same.

Here, the “ending” is really a new beginning and the cycle starts over again.

The concepts of sin and hell do not exist in the NAM. Reincarnation and “ascension” are the explanations given by the NAM.

“Original blessing” replace the concept of original sin, and Man’s fall from grace is now termed Man’s “ascension”.

The redemptive power of the cross is no longer needed, and in this way Jesus’ Crucifixion is no longer meaningful and can therefore be totally ignored.

Some aspects of the “New Age” depersonalize Jesus Christ by referring to a “Christ Consciousness” (Eckankar) – who came through various persons throughout the ages, or a “Cosmic Christ” (Rosecrusianism).

And this sort of coincides with the Catholic’s ridiculous Purgatory

Evil Spirits in Disguise

Some of these are shape shifters.

Satan, as well as the other evil spirits, are fallen angels who turned away from God.

Yet they have the power to appear to people as benevolent. Saint Paul warns,

“Even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light” (2 Cor 11:14).

What appears to some New Agers to be a “Divine Light” is, in reality, the “Shining Darkness” of Satan.

Despite the attractiveness, and apparent concern shown by these “Spirit Guides”, these spirits will ultimately lead to spiritual oppression and other forms of spiritual destruction here on Earth, and possibly serious consequences in the life to come.

Truth = Jesus Christ

Christians need to become more aware of the lures and traps of the NAM in order to avoid them. We must reject the lies and false promises of Satan’s NAM, and give ourselves completely to the Truth that is Jesus Christ.

Satan wishes to rule the world, but God will ultimately triumph. He alone is our hope and our salvation.

New Age Vocabulary

Below are a few Christian terms that the New Age has twisted and perverted, along with a few terms unique to the New Age lexicon. Author Texe Marrs has taken the liberty of revealing the hidden New Age meaning of each.

God: can be referred to either as she or he, mother or father, god or goddess. Most New Age teachers hold that Mother Earth, the sun, the moon, and the stars – indeed all of nature – can be worshipped as “god.”

13 You can buy
You can buy this book online.
In this book, you will discover the timeless science that great teachers have spoken for millenia.

This book opens up the secrets of the self within, nature and the universe, and the Supreme Self within and without.

Here the world’s most distinguished teacher of the science of self-realization talks about meditating and practicing yoga in the modern age, gaining liberation from the law of karma, achieving superconsciousness, and much more.

In all the interviews, lectures, essays, and letters chosen for this special book, His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada speaks with startling clarity and power.

He proves just how relevant the science of self-realization is to today’s world and your own life.

Christ: A reincarnated avatar, Messiah, or messenger sent from the “hierarchy” (see Angels below) to give the living on earth spiritually advanced revelation.

The New Age contends that Buddha, Mohammed, Confucius, Jesus, and many others were “Christ’s,” but one greater than all of them will soon come to usher in the New Age. To the Christian, this coming New Age “Christ” is, in fact, the Antichrist.

Angels: More frequently called “Ascended Masters, masters of  Wisdom, Ancient masters, spirit guides, inner guides, spirit counsellors, one’s Higher Self, the Self, Superbeings, aeons, muses or walkins.”

Collectively called the “hierarchy.” Whichever term is used, the discerning Christian will recognize these shadowy entities not as “angels”, but as demons.

Born Again (Rebirth): Personal or Planetary transformation and healing. The point at which a New Age believer “let’s go” and allows his Higher Self or Inner Guide (translated: demons) to guide and direct his life. Some New Agers describe this as Kundalini, a Hindu term meaning “serpent power.”

The Second Coming: It is claimed that at the Second Coming a New Age believer achieves “Christ Consciousness,” an exalted, higher state in which he is spiritually transformed into a divine being.

This phrase also can mean the appearance on earth of the New Age messiah, or “Christ.” and his hierarchy of demons.

Heaven/Kingdom of God: The New Age, or Aquarian Age (we’re going to discuss this tomorrow), is expected to be the era when heaven and the Kingdom of God are realized on earth.

The reincarnated “Christ” (the Antichrist) is to reign over the new Age, bringing in a One World Religion and consolidating all nations into a Global New World Order or one monolithic government.

Hell: New Agers deny the existence of hell and a judgment. They also deny that sin and evil exist. God is alleged to be beyond good and evil.
